General overview of weather conditions in relation to the hazard (Heat) 6-15 days

Uncertainty at the start of this period regarding the extent and duration of any potentially Very warm or Hot conditions. The uncertainty is regarding the extent to which Atlantic weather systems are able to progress eastwards into the UK, or whether higher pressure holds these at bay. The warmest temperatures are likely to be towards the southeast, with regions most likely to reach temperature alert criteria being Southeast/London/East Midlands/East of England, and perhaps West Midlands. Atlantic weather fronts should eventually make some eastward progress through the last week of June allowing temperatures to moderate for a time at least.
